Sports fans are probably already familiar with all the baseball tournaments that are held here and that New Minas is known as "the Soccer Capital of Atlantic Canada". Soccer moms find Hampton House a great break from the weekend schedule of games.

Dispite the abundance of farmland the Valley has an endless criss crossing of paved highways that are excellent for the antique car, bikers and cyclists. With many small towns dotting the Valley you are never far away from a pub or restaurant to have a bit of refreshment.

The camping enthusiast has lots of campgrounds to choose from and hikers can explore the many trails from Cape Blomindon along the ridge of the North Mountain giving terrific vistas of farmlands and villages.

Each of the communities of Windsor, Wolfville, New Minas, Kentville, Berwick, Aylesford, Kingston, Middleton, Bridgetown and Annapolis Royal all have local attractions, festivals and agricultural exhibitions to keep you here for more than a day. Did you know the Annapolis Valley has their very own zoo with exotic animals being housed in outdoor surroundings?

Those who like the water will have to visit such coastal villages as Scot's Bay, Baxter's Harbour, Hall's Harbour, Harbourville, Victoria Harbour, Margretsville and Port George which also have their own festivals and attractions.

So plan a day, a few days or a week and come to the Annapolis Valley for a different experience!
