Mill Creek is a recreation of the memories Lauretta and Alex has of their time when they operated a solid wood furniture shop 30 years ago. During that time many relationships were built with other custom shops in Eastern Canada resulting in a sharing of components from those who were best equipped to produce certain styles or types of furniture. Aristocraft Furniture went on to become Vintage Mouldings Manufacturing and the furniture making had to be put on hold.
With the creation of Hampton House Furniture it was their desire to re-new some of those relationships and once again create a line of solid wood furniture made in Canada with Canadian hardwoods.
It took many months of visiting shops, identifying preferred styles of chairs, and matching them to tables, buffets, hutches and sideboards to create a line reminiscent of the days when solid wood furniture was the only choice for those wanting to purchase a future heirloom.
To co-ordinate the production of such a wide selection from several shops and bring them all together to be finished as complete sets has been a challenge. However one that has resulted in the birth of Mill Creek Solid Wood Furniture, custom made, in Canada, with Canadian woods.
